Last Urban-Landscape

Lately, I am devoting myself to the realization of landscape paintings, a landscape that unites all our cities, subways, repeaters, trellis, industries. Yes, Italy is also this and not just monuments of great architects or landscapes of endless woods where you can lose, just turn around and a sign of man is everywhere.
The idea is to make my city, Terni, interpret as a passepartout key.

RED INDUSTRY

The cities that I paint are firm with no smokestacks puffing vapor. These are inventories of the nineteenth positive thinking born in France and that in literature know as Verismo in Italy and Naturism in France.
Here in this picture I paint a corner of my city, Terni. This city that every day becomes a source of ideas. Each of my paintings becomes a piece of a bigger picture, as does G. B. Piranesi in the great "Plan of Rome" in 1762, where the warp of the historic plant it overlaps a his invention that follows the characters.

UN PONTE in BOZZETTI

English version

Preparatory sketches for a new work on canvas in urban theme. Since the work to be performed in landscape format I chose a subject that lends itself perfectly to the size, the bridge. In this post I show how you can develop a theme to a distant person to leave recall and change the subject.
In the first test I chose a front view, elevation, time to study the composition in his weights.
In the second it is passed immediately to a setting perspective creating greater drama to the scene with a foreshortened angle from below and inserting a light that was in the water surface so as to illuminate the underlying parts and interior of the bridge to fill it with light and a bit smaterializzarlo 'to ease the structural mass.
In the third example the bridge is transformed into a building composed of three main bodies, the central connection that in its structure reminiscent of the bridge. The other two groups, one on this side and one on the side of the bridge, obtaining a succession of three frontal pines parallel to each other, and confer greater depth to the work.
The fourth example exchange the subject with the context, where the bridge doubles, but lost importance to transfer it to the buildings that overlook the river. Note that the scene is rotating
In the fifth comp bridge turns into telephone wire stretched between two pylons, not links and two physical parts of the city, it connects people. Below it stands a wall that cuts the field in two frontal planes. On this side of the wall there is a deserted road where they were abandoned objects, while beyond the wall there are two sheds and one senses that there is a beach, a line marking the sea, the horizon.
